Happy National Nutrition Month

March is National Nutrition Month (NNM) and this year’s theme is “Get Your Plate In Shape”!

In order to “Get Your Plate in Shape”, Americans are encouraged to:

  1. Make half your plate fruits and vegetables.
  2. Switch to low-fat or fat-free dairy products.
  3. Make at least half your grains whole grains.
  4. Vary your lean protein choices; try to include seafood twice a week and beans/legumes more often.
