Join us for a full day of cross-sector learning at the Hunger Free Colorado Summit 2012. This year’s summit, presented by Walmart, will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 3, at the Red Lion Hotel in Denver. It will unite nonprofit organizations, faith community leaders, government representatives, school administrators, and foundation and corporate leadership.

Here are four reasons why you should attend:

1. Great lineup of speakers, including local and national leaders

Billy Shore, the founder and CEO for Share Our Strength, will be the keynote speaker.

Some of the other confirmed speakers include Kevin Concannon, Under Secretary for USDA Food, Nutrition and Consumer Services; Emily Allen, Vice President of Income Impact for AARP Foundation; and Kori Reed, Vice President for ConAgra Foods Foundation and Cause.

 

 2. Experts sharing their experiences and knowledge during breakout sessions and  panel discussions

While attending the summit, you’ll have the chance to connect with other professionals. There will be more than 100 local and national attendees representing nonprofit organizations, faith community groups, government entities, school administration, foundations and corporations.

Use your time to network with new and old friends at the continental breakfast and lunch as well as during the breaks in-between sessions and the social hour that will follow the conclusion of the last breakout session.
