It is with both excitement and sadness that I share that I will be leaving Hunger Free Colorado to attend graduate school next fall.
I will be attending University of Michigan’s School of Public Health for a PhD program in Nutritional Science. I am eager to dig into researching the biochemical link between food insecurity and obesity and how nutrition programs affect outcomes of individuals and communities. My time at HFC has definitely helped to further define that interest!
More than that, I am proud of the work HFC and its partners have accomplished over these last two years and feel extremely lucky to have been a part of it. It has been a real pleasure getting to know each of you and to work alongside so many organizations and individuals that bring such passion to their work. Colorado is a unique community that I will miss!
